Sky High

"Sky High"

We’ve featured a shirt from AMS Shirts before— and we liked how it looked so much that we got a couple more shirts from them. One of which became a Tumblr Exclusive post.

"Sky High"

This outfit was conceived as a back-to-school look–provided you’re allowed to wear shorts in your school. But it works as a casual get-up too–especially now that school years are being adjusted to start later in the year.

The clouds shirt AMS Shirts feature heavily in this post, but we would also like to bring to front the paisley-lined shorts we got from Zalora.PH.

Zalora.PH, if you have been living under a rock for the past couple of years, is a Pinoy offshoot of an online shopping center that’s already big in Singapore and Malaysia. It makes shopping for clothes (and gifts) very convenient for people who don’t really have time to go to the mall. And they’ve got quite the collection.

And, if you’re already familiar with the online shopping site, do visit again. You’ll notice that they’re carrying more Pinoy brands these days: brands like Straightforward Clothing, (our favorite) Timothy Scotch, and more. They tend to be a little more expensive than the imported clothes by resellers, but they’re made by our fellow Pinoys.

Embracing Summer

"Embracing Summer"

Just because you’re heading for a swim doesn’t mean you automatically have to be in your bathing suit… Or that you have to be covered by an over-sized tee.

For a day out under the sun, Naomi is decked out in a Penshoppe button-down tied mid-riff, over a pair of walking shorts we’ve featured last year. It’s an outfit that’s easy to whip off to reveal a bathing suit underneath once you’re ready to swim, or an outfit you can wear while lounging with friends, or for going to beach parties.

Take Two

"Take Two"

We Pinoys aren’t really the type of people to have one-offs–clothes that you wear once, and then completely forget about. Which is why when we feature clothes here, we’re also thinking about how else it can be worn–

Case in point, this Coco Republic long-sleeved button down we featured a few weeks back, when we went full citrus. This time, Mikoy is wearing it with the pair of chambray shorts we featured by the bay. (more…)

Alpha Beat

"Alpha Beat"

Over the past few years, skater fashion has slowly been slipping into mainstream street style. And it’s not surprising, is it? Fashion has a way of integrating things that are comfortable into things we’d want to wear–things that can make us look good.

That’s what happened with skater wear. Light-weight button downs with unconventional prints are taking the streets. And with new brands popping up, it looks like the trend is staying a while.

Citrus Summer

"Citrus Summer"

When Summer comes, you don’t fight the heat–you find ways to adapt. Or, at the very least, not look like you’re dying from the hot weather. It is, of course, better if you can find clothes that allows your body to breathe, while looking good.

Coco Republic offers clothes that are exactly that.

Mikoy is wearing one of their new arrivals, a linen button down with the (lately) popular gradient design. And in keeping with the Summer season, we’ve gone with the colors of citrus–orange, yellow (the Penshoppe pants), and green (the laces on the silver Sprint shoes).

Check out the whole look–

Be Your Valentino

Cooler climates mean more opportunities to cuddle with someone you’re into. Don’t be afraid to play the part of a Valentino–or to play with colors with the clothes you’re wearing!
