Sky High

"Sky High"

We’ve featured a shirt from AMS Shirts before— and we liked how it looked so much that we got a couple more shirts from them. One of which became a Tumblr Exclusive post.

"Sky High"

This outfit was conceived as a back-to-school look–provided you’re allowed to wear shorts in your school. But it works as a casual get-up too–especially now that school years are being adjusted to start later in the year.

The clouds shirt AMS Shirts feature heavily in this post, but we would also like to bring to front the paisley-lined shorts we got from Zalora.PH.

Zalora.PH, if you have been living under a rock for the past couple of years, is a Pinoy offshoot of an online shopping center that’s already big in Singapore and Malaysia. It makes shopping for clothes (and gifts) very convenient for people who don’t really have time to go to the mall. And they’ve got quite the collection.

And, if you’re already familiar with the online shopping site, do visit again. You’ll notice that they’re carrying more Pinoy brands these days: brands like Straightforward Clothing, (our favorite) Timothy Scotch, and more. They tend to be a little more expensive than the imported clothes by resellers, but they’re made by our fellow Pinoys.

Keep Calm

"Keep Calm"

We’re going casual again this Friday, with a simple pairing of a graphic tee and colored jeans. See, jeans don’t just come in black, blue and grey. There’s a variety of them to choose from, and it doesn’t hurt to branch out into other colors. You just need to make sure that you can pull off the confidence, because without it, even if the colored jeans look good on you, you’re going to be uncomfortable.

We went safe with a khaki colored pair of jeans though.

Whatever the Weather

"Whatever the Weather"

What do you do when the weather’s some times hot, some times cold, and some times just right? Find the right outfit to fit the unreliable weather, of course!

"Whatever the Weather"

Simplicity goes a long way–so long as it’s also the right fit. For example, in this ensemble, Jeremy is wearing a Bench Body tee without any designs. It’s just blue. But because the shirt size is just right for his body type, it doesn’t matter that there are no statements emblazoned across the tee. What matters is that Jeremy is comfortable with the shirt.

We make up for the simplicity of the shirt with a bit of pomp on the shorts though. We found this pair of ‘Aztec Shorts’ at a bazaar at Eton Centris from a brand called Third Street Clothing. And they have it in many colors. Which you can find on their Facebook page, alongside the snapbacks they’re also selling.

As Summer comes to its end, we’re going to start featuring back-to-the-grind outfits again. But before we do, we want to know what looks worked best for you this Summer!

Embracing Summer

"Embracing Summer"

Just because you’re heading for a swim doesn’t mean you automatically have to be in your bathing suit… Or that you have to be covered by an over-sized tee.

For a day out under the sun, Naomi is decked out in a Penshoppe button-down tied mid-riff, over a pair of walking shorts we’ve featured last year. It’s an outfit that’s easy to whip off to reveal a bathing suit underneath once you’re ready to swim, or an outfit you can wear while lounging with friends, or for going to beach parties.

What about you, guys? What’s your standard beach look?

Take Two

"Take Two"

We Pinoys aren’t really the type of people to have one-offs–clothes that you wear once, and then completely forget about. Which is why when we feature clothes here, we’re also thinking about how else it can be worn–

Case in point, this Coco Republic long-sleeved button down we featured a few weeks back, when we went full citrus. This time, Mikoy is wearing it with the pair of chambray shorts we featured by the bay. (more…)

Icy Summer

"Icy Summer"

You must be getting tired of how we keep bemoaning the fact that it’s hot. Well, we did something about it. We went ice skating. In SM Megamall. No, we didn’t travel back in time. Yes, there’s a new skating rink. It’s in the fifth floor of the mall’s new building. And no, SM did not pay us to write about the new skating rink.

It’s just how we’re introducing our piece for the day. I say piece because we’re just highlighting Penshoppe’s sweater in this post.

Bound for Water

"Bound for Water"

It’s Summer. Still. As you can probably tell by the pool of sweat under your chair. So we thought, why not post an outfit that’s fit for the weather?
